Facebook to collaborative corporate tools such as Cisco's video teleconference systems, he argued that people, whether they are at work or at home, are looking for ways to connect with each other virtually. No kidding.
And to proof the concept could really work, just last week, on
March 19, 2008 Cisco hosted industry first virtual Eco Panel
using TelePresence, where all panelists appeared as if to be in
the same room eventhough they would be thousands miles
apart. The panelists included John Chamber participated from Cisco headquarters in San Jose, Cisco
EVP of Marketing & Government Affairs
Sue Bostom joined in from Live stage
Voice-Con conference in Orlando, some
other scientists and most notably former
US Vice President and Nobel Price
Winner Al Gore participated from
Nashville, Tennessee. It was
unprecedented.
Mr Al Gore who made a scheduled
appearance during UNFCCC COP13 Climate Change conference in Bali last
December & delivered excellent speech supporting the issues could have easily triggered the idea of this Eco panel concept.
“Collaboration, is vital to increasing corporate productivity and
innovation, driving it at a faster pace than most economists
project”, said Erik Brynjolfsson, the director of the MIT Center
for Digital Business. "The more knowledge workers can
collaborate with each other using TelePresence," he said, "the more they can increase productivity and innovate faster.”
Ok. We all got it now; Collaboration is a good thing. Let's get some goodies from vendor booths. Fast. But wait?!!.
How does one position Indonesia in this vast Globalization
version 3.0 scenario? take for example, IT networking industry
in Indonesia. Are we ready to be as the so called knowledge
workers and be actively involved or just be part of bench-
warmers? Picking CCIE headcounts as an extreme knowledge-worker example, counting the number, including our own
CCIEs, recently Indonesia has 41. The rest of the world in total: 15,658, China: 2,233, Japan: 896, Singapore:147. OK.
So, we are a bit behind ; way behind. Bottom line, to
collaborate one has to be able to offer certain innovative values that might be unique or a must-have by other collaborators. Perhaps, a change in mindset & renewed commitment are what really needed by all shareholders in Indonesia.
This year PAT is joining other Cisco Partners to celebrate the
human network through the power of collaboration. You will
see some of Cisco Systems advanced solution in the area of
UC, Security , SP, WAAS etc. During the show you will see
specific areas where PAT has been able to strongly collaborate with other Cisco Partners /Integrators to deliver customer solutions due to our unique approach to the current networking industry .The tool set analogy at this brochure front cover should give some hints.
In this brochure we highlight some
useful point solution products to
enhance collaboration within the
enterprise customer boundary.¹ By no
mean, any point solution should not be
taken as a product/ pricing issue alone,
but rather should be complimented &
supported by brainware with specific
knowledge.
This venue is also about sharing lesson learned between engineers. We shared a recent case study
from UNFCCC Climate Change Conference in Bali, where PAT successfully delivered the largest temporary mobile conference network infrastructure in Bali via its managed service to support UNFCCC -NET as the prime collaborative environment for
global citizens pouring in Bali from over 180 countries.
Last but not least, we also showcase the prerequisite of any
collaboration: our own version of human network at the booth
because PAT is about empowering our staff/engineers. W e highly value our engineers, constantly nurture them with new knowledge to learn, explore and create new values.
Finally, Collaboration is our midle name (Aliansi=kolaborasi), enjoy the show, grab the goodies, learn and collaborate professionally in the near future project!

Your friendly pat from the net-neigborhood
